These terms apply to every vendor who applies to sell at an East Coast Marketplace (ECOAST) market. By submitting an application, you agree to them.
Applications and approval
Submitting an application does not reserve a space. ECOAST reviews each application and may approve or decline it at its discretion, based on the market's needs, category balance, and the information you provide.
Only dates confirmed by ECOAST are booked. You will be notified by email when your application is approved.
Card on file and automatic charges
After your application is approved, you must add a payment card in your vendor account. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Square; ECOAST does not store full card numbers.
By saving a card, you authorize ECOAST to charge it automatically for the booth fee of each confirmed market date. Charges run before each market date, on the schedule set for that market (by default, the Tuesday before the market).
Payment deadline and release of your space
If you have no valid card on file, or a charge is declined, you must add or update your card before the payment deadline (by default, 5:00 PM Eastern Time on the Wednesday before the market).
If payment is not completed by the deadline, your space for that date is released and may be offered to another vendor.
Booth fees are non-refundable
Booth fees are non-refundable once charged. If ECOAST cancels a market date, we will contact you about how that date is handled.
Cancellations and no-shows
- You may cancel a confirmed date from your vendor account before the market's cancellation cutoff (by default, 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the Monday before the market). An on-time cancellation is not charged.
- A cancellation after the cutoff is a late cancellation. The booth fee for that date is still charged.
- If you do not attend a confirmed date without cancelling (a no-show), the booth fee for that date is still charged.
Sales tax
You are solely responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting any sales tax due on your sales. ECOAST does not collect sales tax on your behalf.
Licenses, permits, and documents
You are responsible for holding and keeping current every license, permit, certificate, and insurance policy your business needs to sell at the market, and for following all applicable laws, including food safety rules.
Documents you upload must be accurate and valid. ECOAST may request updated documents and may cancel your participation if required documents are missing or expired.
Changes to these terms
ECOAST may update these terms. The version you accepted is recorded with your application, and we will ask you to accept updated terms when you apply again.
